InSAR Measurements of Terrain Stabilit in Canada’s North

應用InSAR技術測量加拿大北部的地質穩定性

Successfully used around the world to measure surface movement related to earthquakes,
volcanoes and subsiding cities, satellite interferometric synthetic aperture radar,
or satellite InSAR, is now a well-established method for accurately measuring
displacement of the Earth’s surface from space.



成功地測量受地震 火山 地程下陷的城市地表高程變化
合成孔徑雷達干涉技術或稱InSAR 是一種可以有效地從太空量測地表高程變化的方法


Scientists at CCRS(Canada Centre for Remote Sensing) are extending this technique by smartly combining new satellite technology and multi-platform experiments
to help monitor terrain stability in Canada’s North.


加拿大遙測中心的科學家正在擴大這個技術透過結合新的衛星技術和多平台經驗
去幫助監測加拿大北部的地質穩定性

These new spaceborne measurements will be a powerful tool to assist the siting and design of new infrastructure in the north, as well as highlighting the risk to existing structures.

這些新的衛星技術將會成為有力的工具去幫助北部基礎設施的選址與設計以及指出現有建物的風險

飛機抵達 奧克蘭機場(Auckland Airport)

準備來去AT&T球場看比賽

先搭上奧克蘭機場的機場客運(AirBART)

到舊金山灣區捷運系統(BART)的 Coliseum 站

 


搭乘 [Dublin/Pleasanton - Daly City]藍線開往Daly City 方向的列車




經過 Fruitvale => Lake Merritt =>West Oakland 3個站點


穿越跨彎隧道後
 

抵達 Embarcadero 站下車
 

再步行至 Metro Embarcadero Station

搭乘開往 Visitacion Valley via Downtown 方向的列車
 
沿途經過 The Embarcadero & Folsom St => The Embarcadero & Brannan St

抵達 King St & 2nd St 站下車 就是AT&T球場

看完比賽後 走出球場往左邊沿著 King St走

經過一個十字路口後可以在左手邊看到 Nama Sushi SF餐廳

Satellite interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) can play a cost-effective role in understanding terrain stability. 
 透過 InSAR 的技術了解地形穩定性，可以達到經濟效益的效果

In the oil and gas industry, this means better monitoring of potential geohazards.
 在石油工業中，這意味可以有更好的方法可以監測潛在的地質災害

This can play a key role in reducing the need to deploy staff, increase safety and continuation of pipeline productivity.

InSAR?

合成孔徑雷達干涉技術(Interferometry Synthetic Aperture Radar, InSAR )

是利用重複軌道的方式，獲取不同時間同一地區的SAR影像，以SAR影像中所儲存的複數資料中之相位(Phase)值來粹取出地表的三維資訊，並利用空載及衛星的SAR感測器在側視的幾何條件下，以干涉技術(Interferometry)獲得地表的高程資料
